Where you might’ve seen me recently…

October 2009BBC World Service TV – as a panel on a global programme we were discussing whether we are over-educating people. You can check out the video & my comments here.
BBC Radio 1 – the team over at Radio 1 asked me to join a Dragons’ Den-style panel format along with Shaf Rasul (of Dragons’ Den) and Kavita Oberoi (of the Secret Millionaire) to give advice to 6 listeners who are having difficulty finding, landing & keeping jobs. The clips will be aired on Radio 1 and BBC Online next month.
‘Woman’ magazine – I was drafted in by ‘Woman’ magazine as an agony aunt uncle to answer reader’s problems with careers.

Channel 4 – Year Dot project final episodes were aired + repeats of previous episodes. The project followed my entrepreneurial & social aspirations over the course of a year and was frequently aired on Channel 4 as well as on its own microsite. Clips aired included the Labour Party Conference, Skills London event, Sky News live show and the Westminster Education Forum.
August 2009
BBC Breakfast TV – I was invited onto the sofa twice in the morning to discuss student options post-GCSE & A-level with Bill Turnbull & Kate Silverton.
BBC 1Xtra – Radio 1’s sister station invited me to give their listeners tips on what to do next after A-level results day.
BBC Radio 4 – Radio 4 produced a programme on whether the formal higher education route is right for everyone and invited me for my views.
BBC Radio 5 Live – I was invited onto the Simon Mayo show (before he switched to Radio 2 of course!) alongside the legendary ‘Exam Doctor‘ George Turnbull to discuss exams.
ITN News – ITN asked me to chat to them about exam results on results day, the piece was then produced for ITV & Channel 4.
The Sun – I was asked to provide my ‘Top 10 Tips’ to survive results day…so I did of course!
The Telegraph – I was requested to help & be a case study in a piece on young people opting to enter the world of work after school & college - the online version is here.
The Times – ran a double page spread on careers featuring yours truly as the centrefold (!) the online article is here (minus the big picture!)
Channel 4 – I was chosen to take part in a year-long groundbreaking education project called Year Dot. The project followed my entrepreneurial & social aspirations over the course of a year and was frequently aired on Channel 4 as well as on its own microsite.
Sky News – Sky News ran a piece on me about student destinations and exam results.
BBC Surgery – Radio 1’s weekly Surgery programme & website featured notgoingtouni.co.uk in helping to advise their listeners of their options.
Brand Republic – the advertising, marketing, media & PR channel covered my August 09 media antics.
